Tarboro makes Heroin Arrests

ased upon a complaint regarding the sale of Heroin, officers with the Tarboro Police Department conducted an investigation throughout the month of March targeting specific locations. After extensive surveillance, on April 4, 2018 at approximately 7:40 pm officers conducted a vehicle stop on several individuals leaving Tarboro Square Apartments. Upon the completion of this stop, officers seized 13 bindles of Heroin, as well as marijuana from one of the occupants. This occupant was identified as 22-year-old Raekwon Shyheim Wade of Scotland Neck, who was ultimately placed under arrest.

Subsequent to this traffic stop, an apartment at Tarboro Square Apartments was searched yielding a stolen firearm. The resident of the apartment and driver of the vehicle, identified as 23-year-old Jamica Shakeise Solomon of Tarboro, was also placed under arrest. As a result of this investigation, Wade was charged with: Trafficking Opium/Heroin; Possession of Heroin; Possession of a Stolen Firearm; and Possession of Marijuana. He was secured in the Edgecombe County Detention Center under a $75,000.00 bond.

In addition, Solomon was charged with: Conspiracy to Traffic Opium/Heroin; Possession of a Stolen Firearm; and Child Abuse. She too was secured in the Edgecombe County Detention Center under a $20,000.00 bond.
