Two arrested with narcotics – Roanoke Rapids

On Saturday April 7, 2018 at approximately 10:30am Roanoke Rapids Police Department’s Officer C. Batchelor was checking on a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a residence in the 300 block of Cedar Street.  During the investigation of the vehicle the passenger Tremaine Devon Simmons 22 of Weldon was found to have an outstanding order for arrest and he was found in possession of narcotics.

Mr. Simmons was served with the order for arrest and charged with possession with intent to dell/deliver schedule II (cocaine), he was given a $5,750 bond and a May 2, 2018 court date.

On Sunday April 8, 2018 at approximately 12:30am Roanoke Rapids Police Department’s Officer H. Grimes   conducted a traffic stop for a violation on Marshall Street near Raleigh Drive.  During the stop the driver Deontrae Bachum Harvey 30 was founded to be driving on a suspended license and in possession of narcotics and paraphernalia.

Mr. Harvey was cited for driving while license revoked, possession of schedule VI (marijuana)  and possession of drug paraphernalia, he was released until his May 28, 2018 court date.
