RRPD looking for suspect involved in Sunday shooting

On Sunday April 8, 2018 at approximately 4:30am the Roanoke Rapids Police Department responded to a residence in the 100 block of Collins Avenue about a subject that had been shot.  When Officers arrived at the residence they found the victim inside the residence with serious injuries, the victim was transported to Halifax Regional Medical Center ER and then was flown to a trauma center for treatment of the injuries.

During the investigation it was discovered that there was a physical altercation between the victim and Keyshun Diarrell Boswell 21 of Littleton, at some point Mr. Boswell produced a gun and shot the victim several times and then fled the area.

A warrant was obtained for Mr. Boswell for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.  Mr. Boswell should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.  Mr. Boswell is encouraged to come to the police department and take care of this matter.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator J.K.
