Man arrested after he leads police on foot chase, has firearm – Halifax

On Sunday March 18, 2018 at approximately 12:00pm Roanoke Rapids Police Department’s Lt. J. Baggett went to an address in the 100 block of Lewis Street to locate a subject on an outstanding warrant.   Lt. Baggett located Tyquan S. Moody 23 in the backyard of the residence; Mr. Moody attempted to run away from Lt. Baggett but was taken into custody after a short foot chase.

Mr. Moody was arrested on the outstanding warrant (filing a false report) and charged with possession of a stolen firearm, carrying a concealed weapon and resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer, he was given a $4,000 bond and a April 4, 2018 court date.
